AdiLight-2 Photoactivation Unit

AdiLight-2 is a Plasma Activation Device which provides selected monochromatic frequencies in the coloured light spectrum. This increases IL-1RA and stimulates the release of growth factors from PRP — and activates stem cells from a quiescent into an active state.

The proprietary PhotoActivation Technology of AdiLight-2 is being used increasingly in Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) preparations for Osteoarthritis, Degenerative Knees, Muscle Tears, Tendon Injuries, Joint Pain and Ligament Injuries. Ten minutes exposure of PRP to AdiLight-2 photoactivation, prior to injecting, has been found to significantly reduce inflammation and accelerate healing through enhancing growth factors and increasing Interleukin I – Receptor Antagonist. Patients begin to feel relief from pain within a couple of days – instead of weeks or months.

IL-1RA
IL-1RA Levels 5 Minutes After PhotoActivation. Blue color develops in proportion to the amount of IL-1ra present.

Healing is Accelerated and Post-Treatment Pain for PRP Patients Reduced:

Once the PRP is prepared, it is activated for 10 minutes using AdiLight 2 before being injected back into the affected area. In most cases, photoactivation using AdiLight 2 increases Interleukin-1 Receptor Antagonist (IL-1RA) which decreases the pain and inflammation associated with PRP injections. In other cases, the duration of any pain is significantly reduced.

Benefits to Doctors Using PhotoActivation:

• The PhotoActivation Process Takes Only 10 Minutes.
• AdiLight-2 is Simple to Use. No Monitoring Required.
• No Training Necessary.
• Can be Used with Any High Quality PRP Kit.
• Used for Both Orthopedic or Cosmetic PRP Applications.

AdiLight-2 is easy and effective to use

The AdiLight-2 photoactivation device works with low-energy polychromatic light of selected frequencies. The development benefits from many years of clinical experience using the first-generation devices with the patented AdiLight technology. Designed for point-of-care use, the AdiLight-2 can be easily and safely integrated into existing treatment protocols for autologous PRP therapy. The AdiLight-2 photoactivation only requires an additional 10–15 minutes in the treatment sequence and can be used together with any high-quality PRP kit. It is the perfect addition to the AdiStem PRP tubes from Renamedical and a basic prerequisite for treatment with our AdiSep SVF separation kits.

... and activates platelets and ADSC cells.

The AdiLight-2 activates the autologous cells under monochromatic light of varying intensities and frequencies in the red, yellow and green light spectrum. The photoactivation stimulates the platelets to release IL-1RA and beta- endorphins. It is reported that with activation of the stromal vascular fraction, the mesenchymal stem cells it contains are activated out of the resting state

AdiLight-2 reduces post-procedural pain

Interleukin-1 receptor antagonists are very potent anti-inflammatory proteins. The plasma levels of these proteins and other growth factors increased by AdiLight-2 photoactivation reduce the intensity and duration of pain associated with a standard PRP injection.

… and accelerates the healing cascade.

Activation of platelets and the increased release of growth factors stimulates the natural healing cascade, inflammatory responses are reduced and mesenchymal stem cells are stimulated.

AdiLight-2 is for distribution in the EU. It is not approved for sale in the United States or Canada.
